Sure does sound tempting, doesn’t it?

But what does it contain and what can you get from this collection?

Well keep reading and I will show you how you can benefit from this aid.

A Brief History Of Native Americans

Tragically a great portion of the indigenous population died due to Smallpox epidemics.

This was brought by the European explorers and as the natives had no immunity to the disease they unfortunately died.

Thirteen colonies revolted against the British rule of the time.

President George Washington and Henry Knox wanted to “civilize” the Native Americans and assimilate them as U.S. citizens.

European settlers put pressure on their lands after the American Revolution of 1765-1783.

War was also raised between the different groups and there was rising tension between them.

By 1830 the Indian Removal Act was passed which allowed the government to relocate Native Americans from their lands to a new area just west of the Mississippi River.

Following the Civil War of 1861-65, the Natives resisted the advancement of new Americans into their lands.

This resulted in several Indian Wars. There were many during the 1890s and also into the 19th Century.

Treaties were subsequently signed between both parties. The U.S. wanted the Natives to adopt the practices of farming.

But as these were inadequate for the dry area this resulted in many deaths.

By 1924 any Native American who was not already a U.S. citizen was granted citizenship. Today indigenous languages are being preserved as there is great importance being placed on one’s past.
